چکیده

Abstract The current study presents a new class of functional derivatives ( 1–3 ) consisting dicationic viologen (4,4’-bipyridinium unit) V 2+ capped by nucleobases thymine NB 1 ), adenine 2 thymine/adenine , and ion-paired with amphiphilic anion 3,4,5-tris(dodecyloxy)benzene sulfonate DOBS − ). target our work focuses on the design synthesis molecular building blocks in which three different functionalities are combined: chromophore unit), recognition thermotropic liquid crystal unit). resulted materials exhibit crystalline properties at ambient temperature significant particularities-induced mesogen structure. Structure–properties relationship providing knowledge about (1) how thermotropic, redox properties, thermochromism, or ionic conductive influenced presence purinic pyrimidinic nucleobases, (2) effective is their ability to self-assembly hydrogen bonding nonpolar solvents. has been proved have substantial impact electron transfer rate during reduction moieties intermolecular aggregation. Ionic conductivity thermochromic were investigated compared non-containing nucleobase analog methyl MV) as reference. Graphical abstract

Eco-friendly Blocks by Blended Materials

In spite of broad improvements in construction technology, cement is still stayed as binding material for construction purposes. Cement industries are the main sources for the contribution of carbon dioxide (co2) into the atmosphere. So, there is a need to use new materials as binders (green binders) in substitute for cement, which leads to reducing the production of cement. In this study, fly ...

Solid-phase synthesis of peptide-viologen conjugates.

This paper presents a robust method for the conjugation of viologens to peptides using an amide coupling strategy that is compatible with standard Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis. Methodology is presented for monitoring the milligram scale process quantitatively by UV spectroscopy. This chemistry enables the synthesis of a broad range of asymmetric viologens in high yield at room temperature...

Synthesis of Functional Materials by Non-Newtonian Microfluidic Multiphase System

With increasing level of polymer solution involvement in multiphase microdevice for for‐ mation of emulsion and fabrication of functional materials, it is of paramount importance to systematically understand the relevant physics of droplet formation in non-Newtonian fluids and how the material formation process may be affected due to the complex rheo‐ logical effect. The chapter aims to review ...

Conjugated porphyrin arrays: synthesis, properties and applications for functional materials.

Conjugated porphyrin arrays that possess delocalised electronic networks have, for the most part, been assembled by using alkene or alkyne type bridging units or by directly connecting individual porphyrin chromophores with multiple bonds to form fused porphyrin arrays. Throughout the last two decades, such conjugated porphyrin arrays have been actively explored due to their attractive electron...
